The unglamourous role of Rekha in the first half of the movie leaves one stunned, with no makeup she has enacted the role of a simple housewife well. In the second half her glamorous look is back competing with Sonu Walia (Nandini) her protagonist who plots her murder with her second husband, where she is equally fantastic. She deserved the Filmfare award for this role in 1988.
